At Church of the Ascension, Stewardship simply means putting our faith into action. We are stewards when we consciously decide to use our personal gifts to build up the Body of Christ, starting right here in our parish.
Just as the members of a family come together to help one of their own, a stewardship parish family serves those who are hurting or have needs, are doubting, or seeking salvation. Parishioners seek the parish family as a primary community to serve and to be served—to give and to receive.
The members of a stewardship parish recognize that they also have a need to give beyond their own members. They have a need to serve and to give in the local community, the diocese, and the universal church. Service by those of all ages, provides the opportunity to practice hospitality, prayer and formation.
