Adult Initiation and Formation
Ascension has an RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation) program for adults college-age and up and young people nine years and older who wish to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. As an RCIA team member, you walk the journey to full community membership with our adult candidates for Baptism or their profession of faith. The requirements to be an RCIA team member are a willingness to share your faith journey with others, and the desire to serve others as they consider joining the Catholic Church. Training in the process and resources are provided.
Infant Baptism Preparation
Our Infant Baptism Preparation teams are made up of married couples that share their faith and knowledge with other parents that are having a infant baptized. All materials and training is provided. Training dates and times are flexible to accommodate your schedule.
Child and Youth Faith Formation
Catechists are an important element to any faith formation program for teens and children. We have a team of energetic people as lead or assistant catechists. You can help with any age level or even just help during our summertime Vacation Bible School. Every catechist receives support, materials, and training.
